Stohrer, creator of the baba au rhum, puts its historical recipe in a jar…
A cult dessert of our French sweet heritage, it was created in the early 18th century by Nicolas Stohrer – King Louis XV’s pastry chef – and is now available in a jar. Generously soaked in an amber rum syrup from the West Indies, these nine corks will be appreciated for their soft and light texture, as well as their balanced flavor.
At the head of a sweet kingdom whose specialties dot the map of France to the rhythm of the historic houses it has taken over, the Dolfi family is proud to watch over the Maison Stohrer since 2017.
And because there are no great stories without sharing, these babas are available at À la Mère de Famille, Stohrer and across France, from the Basque coast (Henriet) to Touraine (La Chocolatière) to Nevers (Au Négus) or Deauville (Au Duc de
Morny)…

From the factory to our shops
Driven by the deep desire to bring the taste of good to life, to promote authentic recipes, and because we are also very greedy, we make a wide range of sweets and chocolate specialties. After transforming our different cocoas into chocolate coatings, making our own pralines and ganaches, the possibilities are immense! There are therefore more than a hundred homemade recipes (impossible to bring ourselves to remove any...) that we find in assortment in our boxes. The latest, whose recipes are based on a solid dose of know-how, creativity free of any intermediary and our intuition, thus join their gourmet accomplices to form an extraordinary range of products. Among them, the famous praline rocks, the squirrel follies or the florentins and their dolfentine cousins, as well as the essential palets Montmartre, toucans, orangettes, papillotes...
