Julia Sammut
No matter what life she leads, Julia Sammut strives to discover delicious food before sharing it. After spending her childhood and adolescence in the Vaucluse with her mother, the Michelin-starred chef Reine Sammut, she moved to Paris to study law, but her curiosity and love of stories led her to journalism. It was at Le Fooding, at the time, that she decided to celebrate her taste for discovery and transmission before reconnecting with her Tunisian roots: the Mediterranean and the wonders it offers to taste. In 2016, she opened her ideal address in Marseille, the delicatessen - guesthouse, in the vibrant and popular Noailles district, L'Idéal. Why? Well, to bring to the attention of her (loyal) visitors something to make their taste buds and imaginations travel.

Nicolas Rouvière
The art of goodness has little depth without a sense of beauty. A grocery store is about products, the best, the most singular, it's a variety of possibilities, it's also a team. Above all, it's a place. A space where everyone should be able to find both the exotic and the beautifully ordinary. It's a faraway destination as much as a familiar home. This dual atmosphere was forged by artistic director Nicolas Rouvière for L'Idéal and Julia Sammut's project. A versatile designer, he also runs the publishing house Keribus, specializing in cooking. But not just any cooking, not just good recipes, but cooking that opens the way to delicious stories. Stories, great stories, always!

Every month, Déborah Pham, a journalist, and Steve Dolfi, co-owner of Paris's oldest chocolate factory, host inspiring guests for afternoon tea in the secret dining room of the historic boutique. These are personalities we want to listen to and discuss the topic of transmission with. Each guest arrives with a companion, someone who matters, someone from whom they received influence or to whom they transmitted a certain vision of the world. For an hour, they talk about connections, memories, and what is transmitted without even thinking about it. An unfiltered conversation, with mouths full, because here, it's allowed.
