Paris’s oldest chocolate maker and the Jardin du Luxembourg are joining forces for a collaboration celebrating the Maison’s attachment to this iconic Parisian landmark.
À la Mère de Famille and the Jardin du Luxembourg are inviting each other over. And not just in any way. Throughout the year, new creations inspired by this Parisian jewel will be available exclusively in À la Mère de Famille shops. The highlight of this new friendship: a unique Easter egg hunt that took place in the Jardin du Luxembourg on April 1st.
Two Parisian institutions with a natural affinity
Beyond a simple encounter, this collaboration aims to convey and bring to life the unique poetry of the Jardin du Luxembourg through exclusive creations that only À la Mère de Famille knows how to make, mastering the art of chocolate production.
For 265 years, À la Mère de Famille has united generations around the taste for quality and authentic treats. A family business par excellence, it is part of the lives of Parisians who have been passing down this cherished address for almost three centuries.
The Jardin du Luxembourg, a botanical treasure steeped in history, created in 1615 by Marie de Médicis, is one of the most visited places in the capital. Dear to the hearts of Parisians, who come to walk, play, and create memories, this heritage site symbolizes the elegance and charm of Paris.
A collection imagined as an enchanted stroll…
Every corner of the Jardin du Luxembourg becomes a source of inspiration: an À la Mère de Famille bag placed on an iconic green chair, delicately brushed by a bee or a bird; surprising scale games, where chocolate boxes, basins, and flowers transform into giant sculptures in the middle of the alleys; a giant rabbit enthroned in the middle of the alleys… While "choupissons," baby hedgehogs, play hide-and-seek.
Every detail of the garden has been reinterpreted with a slight shift unique to the work of artist Mary Clerté in order to displace things from the real world, just enough to make them magical: "My ambition is to create a dialogue between the Jardin du Luxembourg and À la Mère de Famille in a universe that blends heritage and gentle fantasy, a world where gourmet delights and imagination meet."
…to be discovered over the months.
À la Mère de Famille will offer a Jardin du Luxembourg collection available exclusively in its shops and on its website (shipping to France and Europe). The Choupisson makes its first appearance, closely followed by a very bucolic matching box, then, in the autumn, a chocolate bar, a caramel spread, and other marvels specially imagined for the Jardin du Luxembourg.
The Choupisson x Jardin du Luxembourg: the collaboration's mascot
A new totem animal joins the Maison's collection of dreamlike marshmallows. A soft vanilla marshmallow, filled with a crispy almond-hazelnut praline heart, coated in chocolate sprinkled with caramelized almond slivers… and shaped into a small hedgehog, a nod to the real prickly inhabitants that can be seen in the Garden.

The À la Mère de Famille Easter egg hunt came to the Jardin du Luxembourg!
On April 1st, a unique egg hunt took place at the Luco. A moment of joy and sharing, in the heart of this iconic place that Parisians and visitors to the capital love so much.

À la Mère de Famille, which is no stranger to such events after 10 editions organized (in the Tuileries, in the Palais Royal garden, at the Rodin Museum…), nonetheless started with a blank slate for this exceptional occasion, in the most beautiful garden in Paris. A hunt designed to shake up habits.
